Let's Make Eco Enzyme!
Today is a special day. Today, February 21 2024, is National Waste Awareness Day, or in Indonesian we call it Hari Peduli Sampah Nasional. The school decided that all staff, helpers, security guards, teachers, and students should join in making Eco Enzyme. Eco Enzyme is the result of fermented organic kitchen waste that has many benefits for nature and humans. To make Eco Enzyme, you need organic kitchen waste (either from vegetables or fruits, palm sugar, water, and a container with a lid to store the Eco Enzyme.
So, the first thing that was told to the students was to gather together at the ceremony field. The principal then gave a brief speech before they started making the Eco Enzyme. Not long after that, the students start to make the Eco Enzyme. The process took quite a while since the students had to take turns filling their containers with water. After that, when they have finished making the Eco Enzyme, they wash their hands and label their containers with their names, class, student number, when they made it, and when they could already start using it.
The last part is putting it in the place where the teacher had already directed us. The activity ended there, so remember to always think about the environment and how you could change it for the better, even if it’s just a small act! (Leony, X.4)
