The First Step Into the New Year: Tarakanita Gading Serpong's First Flag ceremony of 2025
As time continues to flow endlessly, yet another year has passed. The joys and sorrows of 2024 are now a thing of the past, as the year has ended at last. Without a doubt, all of us have our own unique impressions of the previous year. But whether it be fond or bitter, now, we have all stepped into another chapter of our lives—2025. Fleeting, isn’t it? Rain poured through early January of 2025, yet the morning sun graced us with its warmth as Tarakanita Gading Serpong held its first flag ceremony of 2025. Clear skies and gentle clouds hovered above, students dressed neatly in uniforms of white and ashen blue, filled the courtyard with bustle and anticipation. We wish for this year to be filled with blessings, and so, the ceremony officers were none other than our honorable student council members themselves! After days of perfecting their movements, our leaders delivered a flawless execution. With everything in order, the ceremony commenced at last. The sound of the microphone rang throughout the courtyard, and our three flag bearers readied themselves as they hoisted the flag with practiced precision. Our sacred flag blew with the wind, a sight that made us stand with pride and reverence as we sung our national anthem, “Indonesia Raya”. The skies remained everclear, and as the ceremony reached its peak, Ms. Krisna Hartanti, our master of ceremonies, delivered a valuable message regarding self-reflection, change and renewal. Though our experiences over the past year may differ, regardless of the hardships we’ve endured, or the mistakes we’ve made, let us not let it diminish our spark and continue marching onward. The ceremony ended on a flawless note, but this is simply one of many ceremonies to come. A new year holds new opportunities and new beginnings. Although we don't know what the future may hold, we pray that this year will bring blessings and fortune to us all. May our students continue to strive forward and find their spark, and our teachers remain forever wise and a guiding light to their students. May fortune find us all in 2025. Happy new year! by Ashia Kiran Kalila
